Summary: We had reached out to VRBO due to the August bad review just prior to our stay. While the hosts took care of some, there were many issues upon arrival. The property is identified as a luxury listing and is expensive, but is far from luxury. It had so many issues: 1. an infestation of ants in the kitchen - our food was not safe unless in the refrigerator; 2. cockroaches in the kitchen; 3. broken towel rack in one of the upstairs bedrooms - pulled off the wall on one side; 4. broken blinds in one of the upstairs bedrooms with bunk beds - 5 or 6 slats literally broken in half; 5. master and bunk bed room had several power outlets that did not work; 6. Shower in one of the master bedrooms does not drain; 7. many bricks on front steps are loose and a tripping hazard; 8. main level bedroom mattress is terrible; 9. waterbugs and black moths in downstairs shower; 10. smelly, mildewy shower curtain in downstairs bathroom; 11. lots of crickets in the basement so noone could sleep there; 12. no hand towels, wash cloths or hand soap, although the host did deliver them later; 13. AC does not cool the upstairs bedrooms. Additionally, most if not all carpets in the bedrooms had several large stains on them, as did the sofas. The walls are filthy throughout. The house looks more like a frat house than anything luxury. Not sure what the criteria are for a "luxury" listing on VRBO but this place needs a LOT of attention and was disappointing in every way.
