Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location was great, not too far from restaurants and shops, and very close to the beach. There were a lot of amenities to freely use, a good amount of linens, towels, and even beach towels, which was really nice. In the garage there are also several outdoor chairs and some boogie boards! The washing and drying machines were thankfully very easy to use and dried well. The air conditioning especially was in great working condition, so much that we were saying it was freezing on the first night! But that's a blessing, especially here in Texas in June. The kitchen was lovely. There were plenty of dishes, utensils, and cookware provided. The garage space is great. The lock system being secure and easy to use was also a blessing.

Negative: We adhered to the no-noise rules at nighttime hours, but the neighbors themselves were VERY loud both nights of our stay, driving by with loud music, yelling while walking down the street on their phones, closing (slamming) their home and car doors hard enough for us to hear. Though I understand the owner of this property can't manage that, it's something to keep in mind. The main complaint myself and my guests had is the DOORKNOBS. Almost all of the inner doorknobs to the rooms are loose and loud, the main bathroom doorknob doesn't work at all and we had to close it with a small hand towel wedged between the door and the frame so we wouldn't get stuck in there (it happened two or three times...). The owner did not tell us the knobs were loose, that they rattled, or we should handle them with care, etc. The doors are also quite creaky. It isn't a modern, new home, but I have no issues with the style of the knobs or door. The look was very charming and cute. You just really need to update the hardware!

Summary: Overall, very nice! Just one main thing...
