The Space:

This 400 sq ft. cottage (not a tiny home) is loaded with cabin charm. The hewn walls, high pitched cathedral ceiling, abundance of natural light, spiral staircase and retro flair kitchen, all take you back in time. The kitchenette features a coffee bar, refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave and induction burner. A crock pot is provided for those slow cooked meals while you are out exploring the day away! A sweet table, big screen TV and shower bathroom are all perfect. Downstairs features a luxury double sofa sleeper with a high end comfort 6" hybrid mattress. Upstairs is one king bed and 2 single beds in the loft! With all of this, you will surely want to spend your time outside on the large porch rocking, or enjoying a meal on your private porch. In an easy reach is a bbq grill for those hearty mountain meals. Your own private fire pit, porch swing and hammocks to enjoy. You can get lost as you wander the 6 beautiful acres. You will feel light years away, although you are less than 10 minutes from downtown Mentone. The Snug Nest does share the 5 acre property with the main home, Falcon Lodge. Although completely detached and a separate home, SN sits behind the main home offering privacy for all. Shared ares include outdoor space on the 5 acres. For larger groups, you can inquire about renting Canopy Woods as well, which includes both homes and will sleep up to 16 guests! We promise you that the lure of this property for the homeowners, from Huntsville, Al will be evident to you the moment that you drive down the beautiful tree lined road. ***Wildlife frequents this area, please use caution and remember to follow trash rules.***

Less than 10 minutes to the town of Mentone, 15 minutes to Summerville, 20 minutes to Fort Payne, 45 min. to Chattanooga, 2 hours to Atlanta and Nashville, 1 1/2 hours to Huntsville and Birmingham. Lookout Mountain, Fort Payne and Mentone are all known for their beauty and authentic mountain offerings to visitors.
