Our 1930 cottage on Lake Ridge Island has waterfront property on both the east and west sides - we have the best view on the lake for sunrise and sunset. 1080 square feet but feels much larger because of all the separate living spaces. Private dock is included for your boat or rent one at Spend a Day. Bring your fishing pole and catch bass, catfish, and saugeye without leaving the house. Use our kayaks, paddleboat,swim, then wind down in Adirondack chairs around the firepit. Outside you'll access to the front porch, side deck with both gas and Weber grill, back yard, and docks on the front and back. At the back of the house is our "lake room" an enclosed patio with 3 walls of windows and party lights - we love to watch the wild life and boats go by. The home is professionally cleaned between each rental period. No lifeguard on duty - enter water at your own risk.
Inside you will find central AC, 4k Smart TV in the living room and two more HD Rokus TVs in two of the bedrooms. New memory foam mattress on the queen bed. The kitchen is fully stocked and we provide basic pantry items such as flour, spices, sugar, and oil. The dining room table has seating for six and steps away in the lake room is another table with seating for 4. There is a new washer and dryer for your convenience.
Ninety year old lake front cottages do not come without their quirks! The shower head is lower than a standard shower. If you're tall you may have to duck a little. Please note the bathroom is small and the vanity is high but there is a step stool just in case. We spray for pests monthly but this is the lake and you may see spiders. At night you may hear cows mooing at the moon, especially if it's a full moon. We do not allow pets, smoking, or unregistered guests.
You may not want to leave the property but if you do Indian Lake has a ton of restaurants and bars, hiking on Pew Island is only 1 mile away! Shopping in independent stores in downtown Bellefontaine, Marmon Valley Horse Farm, Mad River Mountain, and Ohio Caverns are all close excursions.
