In the off-season, this is our home away from home. The cottage is clean, well maintained and beautifully decorated with Pergo floors throughout, new appliances, enclosed hot/cold outdoor shower and washer/dryer. Unbeatable ocean views included!

In addition to Scarborough Beach and adjoining Black Point nature preserve, the area boasts three of New England's most beautiful beaches. The cottage is three miles from historic downtown Narragansett's restaurants, beaches, activities and the 'Towers' and is a bike ride to the Block Island/Martha's Vineyard ferry terminals. Scenic Newport is a short drive across the bay and is visible from Scarborough while Providence dining, entertainment and shopping is a thirty minute drive by major highway.

Summary: The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the beach, making daily trips to the shore incredibly convenient. The house is well-stocked with essentials and includes a lot of beach equipment, which was a great bonus for our stay. The outdoor shower was my favorite part of the house - hot water, large, private, and it feels great to rinse off under the sun! The property could use some updates, however the weekly rental rate would probably increase as well. For the location and pricing of nearby properties we felt the price was reasonable. Additionally, we had some issues with ants during our stay, which was a bit of a hassle to manage. Despite a few drawbacks, the location and value would definitely have us renting here again.
