Pet policy
We are a pet friendly cottage, but we do charge a fee. We have rules that must be followed so that we can continue to offer a pet friendly environment for guests who love bringing their pets on holidays.
Pet rules are as follows;
-Guests must pay the pet fee at booking, you must select a pet under the guest section when searching for stays.
-Undeclared pets will need to be charged $500 per pet, not meeting this condition is against Airbnb guest policy and may result in removal from the platform.
-No Pets over 50lbs are allowed at the cottage.
-It is highly encouraged that owners take their pets with them in their cars if they leave the cottage for a period of time.
-If a guest does not wish to bring their pet with them in their car, pets must be crated/kenneled if left inside the cottage (we have one pet crate available for use, it measures (36″L x 24″W x 27″H) (it also has a divider for two pets)
-Pets can not be left tethered outside unattended due to nuisance bylaws.
-You will be responsible for any and all damage cause by your pet.
-Please pickup after your pet hygienically
We are also pet owners and understand how difficult it can be to go on vacation with your pets, which is why we make these accommodations, we simply ask that guests follow our rules so that we can continue to offer this service.
Shore Line
Past guests have asked if it’s possible to kayak or swim from the shore line. I have seen sure footed guests successfully kayak or swim from the shore during calm waters, but they choose to do so at their own risk.
The shore line in this area can be dangerous especially during windy weather. If you choose to access the rocks, shoreline, beachhead or water, you do so at your own risk.
There is also a town water access easement (open to the public) about 60 yards (one minute walk) to the east, at the bottom of Johnson Creek Road, which is a bit easier to get to the water.
