This yurt is a modern element on the property of the historic Chapel House (circa 1845) in Stanley. Relax in style while you enjoy the nearby Shenandoah National Park, Luray caverns, Massanutten Ski Resort, or other local attractions.
This is a beautiful property hosting a main house, 2 cottages, and a yurt on 3 acres. The grass yard is large and beautiful. The pergola, yard, and parking are common areas, so please be considerate of other guests.
The yurt is a wood and canvas structure that combines all of the amenities into a 1 large room plus a private bathroom/shower room. The sitting room contains a Roku TV with accounts for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN. You can also view the adjustable TV from the luxurious king bed. A small kitchen and dining table complete the interior.
Outside the yurt is a back sitting area with Adirondack chairs and a fire pit. Firewood is provided so you can enjoy a relaxing evening outdoors.
The yurt now has a mini split heater / AC combo to keep things warm in the winter and cool in the summer!
* The yurt is pretty close to a road that gets traveled even at night on busy weekends. The walls of the yurt are canvas and don't block noise very well. We've provided ear plugs and a noise maker if you'd like to use them, but if you're a light sleeper or this prevents you from having a 5* experience then we encourage you to book the Bliss cottage next door.
* The yurt and cottages are on 3 acres, but they're pretty close to each other on the property.
Guest access:
You'll have access to the yurt and the back sitting area. There's a single parking space between the yurt and one of the cottages, and other parking spaces off the main driveway. Parking is communal, as is use of the pergola and yard. Please be considerate of other guests.
Other things to note:
This is a beautiful property centrally located between attractions such as the Shenandoah National Park, Luray caverns, and Massanutten Ski Resort. Fun activities such as horseback riding are within a couple of miles. Try some yoga at the local winery in town. Head to the Shenandoah river for tubing, kayaking, fishing, and swimming. Beautiful hikes to waterfalls are nearby in the National Park.
The property is in Stanley, a quiet, small town. It's convenient to be close to amenities such as a grocery store, local restaurants, and shops. A convenience store is within walking distance of the property.
